WEBINAR: 340B AUDIT PROCESS (9/10/2014)

HRSA understands that the 340B Drug Pricing Program audit process can be challenging and confusing. In order to clarify the audit process and to relay upcoming changes for FY15, we are holding an informational webinar on Tuesday, September 16th, 2014, from 2-3pm EDT.

For the audio portion of the webinar, call 888-324-9363 (participant code: 4465052).

HOSPITAL RECERTIFICATION (9/11/2014)

The 340B recertification period for hospitals has ended; hospitals that failed to recertify their ongoing compliance with 340B program rules and requirements will be terminated from the program and will be unable to access the 340B program for at least three months (reapplications will be accepted from October 1-15 for a start date of January 1, 2015).

Questions on registration or recertification can be directed to ApexusAnswers, a service of the 340B prime vendor program, at 888-340-2787 or by e-mail to ApexusAnswers@340bpvp.com.

Important Notifications

REGISTRATION UPDATES (7/16/2014)

The July registration period has ended; covered entity and contract pharmacy registrations will next be accepted from October 1-15, 2014, for a program start date of January 1, 2015. For program assistance, please contact ApexusAnswers, a service of the 340B Prime Vendor Program, via e-mail, phone or online chat.

MEDICAID EXCLUSION FILES (6/26/2014)

We implemented fixed quarterly Medicaid Exclusion Files as for the quarter beginning 4/1/2014, eliminating the need to extrapolate quarterly carve-in/out status from real-time search results and entity histories, although we continue aggressively investigating various reported issues with the initial and subsequent files' selection criteria. Stakeholders should also be aware that the Medicaid provider numbers listed on the file don't currently include the associated states, although it's generally safe to assume that the number was issued by the provider's state in cases where there is only a single number on the covered entity record (full details remain accessible through the regular CE search functionality). We apologize for any inconvenience and will post a revised file as soon as possible.

OFFICE OF PHARMACY AFFAIRS (5/5/2014)
